Namasankeerthanam
The practice of Namasankeerthanam — devotional chanting of the divine name — is central to our activities and spiritual practice. Kalau Sankeerthya Kesavam (chant the name of the Lord Kesava) is the catchword for emancipation of human race from worldly turmoil, said Sage Suka to King Parikshit. Then was born, the Namasankeerthanam.
Namasankeerthanam is the chanting and singing of the divine grace of the lord. It is said to be the simplest method of attaining “Moksha” or Realization, in the present Kali Yuga, a world of material life. This idea was first globalized by Swami Haridhos Giri (affectionately referred to as Guruji) through GA Trust, a not-for-profit organization in Chennai, India. With an interest and commitment to spread Namasankeerthanam, Dinasari Vazhipadu and Padhuka Pooja, a group of devotees in Canada have been performing Padhuka Poojas (where we chant the dinasari vazhipadu as prescribed by Swami Gnanananda) and Namasankeerthanam every third Saturday of the month.
Gnanananada Seva Samajam has also been organizing an annual Ashtapadi Bhajan every year around “HOLI”, the festival of colours as well as Divyanamam and Radha Kalyanam (the celestial wedding of lord Krishna and Radha) under the banner "CANADA RADHA KALYANAM" during the US Memorial day weekend which falls around last week of May.
Gnanananda Seva Samajam, Canada (GSS Canada), invites one and all to visit its website, to enjoy and benefit from its contents, and to take the divine blessings of our great Gurus. We encourage you to learn about our mission and involve yourself in our cause for spreading the Sampradaya Namasankeerthanam for Peace and Salvation.
